He still puts pretty much everything in his mouth, but not immediately so we know have the opportunity to say what not to put in his mouth if we think fast enough. While at the farm in October Tonya came across the beans and decided bathtime would be the perfect opportunity to introduce James to the magic beans. They were a HIT. So pretty much every bath and shower since he has gotten to open a few magic beans.
Tonya's were from Africa and were all of African animals- they were excellent quality with clearly cut animals with lots of intricate detail.
I found some cheapies at Target from China and while James truly loves opening them in the shower with Tim- we are left puzzling in our heads what in the world they are supposed to be the quality of the cutting is so poor.
But they are still well loved by James- in the evening when he is getting a bit grumpy all we have to ask him if he'd like to go take a shower and open some magic beans and he perks right up saying "OPEN! MAGIC! BEANS!" and then sprints for the bathroom.
And now our floors are scattered with little foam animals- our own toddler zoo.
