Week at Nana and Grandad's- Day 2

While Nana had physical therapy for her broken (but healing!) shoulder James and I went to the local playground.
 VERY into peek-a-boo these days.

Commando crawling under the fence- why bother walking around when you are that tiny?
A couple of other girls were also playing there and decided James was their sweetheart and gave him flowers.

Back home and after nap it was time to water the garden again!
This time swim trunks and shirt (and swim diaper) were remembered.
Which was nice when he decided to take a break with me on the hammock since they didn't carry (or transfer) as much water to me as his cotton clothes did the day before.

Washing off his treasure (aka. leaf).
James loves that they live in the flight path of the local airport.
 "Must share water with Momma."
 "I claim Momma as mine!"

Seriously, this is the way to parent...relaxing on a hammock while your child plays in a sprinkler.
 Until he soaks you.
And tries to tip you over.
 Almost succeeding!

"Now I must give Nana a wet bug/rock/leaf."

 Inspired by Timber...
ah, how refreshing.

Week at Nana and Grandad's- Day 1

Reading with Grandad- two generations in plaid.
James' first experience with a sprinkler.
Both he and Timber were in heaven.
My parent's are on a well and as the pump pressure changed the water would go lower or higher-
Which sometimes took them by surprise.
James doesn't really mind if water gets in his face, but he did brace himself when it was going up his nose.
Also the first time on a hammock, which he thought was awesome.
A great way to take a breather from the sprinkler.
 Back to the water...
 ...back to the hammock.
The day ended with some much needed quiet reading time.

Well, as quiet as a toddler can be.

 "take my picture!"
 "ok, no more picutres."
Nana has to do contrast baths for her hand which got injured in her fall a while back.
James joined in thinking it was a new kind of game.
(and note to self- next time bathing suit and swim diaper!  He weighed about 5 extra pounds with those wet cloths and diaper)

Memorial Weekend

All the fabulous pictures were taken by Tim's cousin, Jasper.  She got some great photos of James and I asked if I could share them here as I wanted everyone else to see how cute he is.
 Croquet anyone?
While you guys read the rules I'll just go ahead and set this up for you.
Now how does the handle fit on this?

I got one!  Maybe they won't notice.

Bubbles and wagon rides with Grandma.  His elephant hat from Aunt Chelsea is now too small, but works in a pinch.
Playing is sweaty and dirty work.
Must eat an orange to refuel.

First time seeing a kite fly.
 Up please!
Couldn't stop grinning at the flying monkey.

 Run, run, run!
Oh wait, there is a rock I must pick up.
