The beach - take three

Today we went to a man-made lagoon to introduce James to the Pacific ocean.
He wore a hat, swim shirt, darling whale swim pants and what little skin that still showed thoroughly covered in sunscreen.
That water was around 72 degrees and since it is a man-made lagoon there were no waves. The air temperature was about 82 so the water felt cool at first but soon felt wonderful. We first tried out just sitting on the sand and allowing the water to lap over us. Then we slowly made our way in deeper and deeper. James would protest if I went too quickly and had the cold water go up his belly faster than he could get used to it. Soon we were playing and did so for about 15 minutes before I noticed that his lips getting slightly blue around the edges. Time to get out!
So we played on the shore a bit more in the warm sunshine.
Then just a quick dip back in to rinse off the sand.
Wrapped up to get warm and dry and a quick nursing session.
Happy and content with the beautiful ocean as a back drop. It was a perfect day for the beach with James.
